College Coach Information

**Reminder that the PRVB Showcase is free for college coaches to attend**

For the 5th annual Puerto Rico Volleyball Showcase, you will have the opportunity to see a very large group of Puerto Rico players. As with the 4th PRVB Showcase, every unsigned/uncommitted member of the Puerto Rico Junior National team has been invited and is expected to attend the PRVB Showcase.

From elite level Division I talent to good players who may need to start at a JC because of English challenges, the PRVB Showcase will have a wide range of talents for all levels of USA college volleyball!

This is a pure recruiting event with each player in attendance wanting to come to the USA to play college volleyball.  Attending college coaches will be provided the contact information for every athlete attending the PRVB Showcase.

In an effort to keep the talent level as high as possible, we will be allowing two invited club volleyball teams from the USA to participate in this year's PRVB Showcase.

As in the past PRVB Showcases, we anticipate @100 players per session and contact information for each recruit will be provided on site for all attending college volleyball coaches.

The format of this year's Showcase - It be held Friday night (2 Sessions - 6 to 8:00 p and 8:30 to 10:30 p.) and will be more of a skills combine focus; similar to combines/showcases in the USA held the night before a major tournament.

In addition, we will have a local Puerto Rico staff member 'floating' at the PR VB Showcase to provide player/team background (when possible) to assist in your comprehensive evaluation of potential recruits.

The Cup tournament, the largest early club tournament in Puerto Rico, will be held on Saturday and Sunday in the same facility  Please note that The Cup is not managed by the PRVB Showcase, but we are friends with the owner!

The site of the PR VB Showcase will be the Borinquen Coqui Dome (home of Borinquen Coqui Volleyball Club)
in south San Juan - Click here for a map.

  • From San Juan take Expressway 18/52 south towards Ponce and Caguas
  • Veer off to the right for the exit for Road 199
  • At the light at the bottom of the ramp, make a left and drive east on Road 199.
  • At the top of the hill, you will be at a light with a big McDonald's to your left
  • Keep going straight and get in the left lane as you will U-turn at the following light
  • Coming back west on Road 199, look for a small sign that says "La Marina" before you approach the intersection where McDonald's is at - TAKE the 1st veer to the right before you come to the McDonald's intersection, where the "La Marina" sign is - DO NOT TAKE the 2nd veer at McDonalds!
  • The marginal road leads to the Borinquen Coqui complex
  • If you miss the La Marina sign and right veer, continue on Road 199 and then make another U-turn to try again!
